About Us

Based out of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, Keala Records, has been creating music since 1995.  The label is locally owned and operated by Greg Sardinha. Keala Records is dedicated to pioneering Hawaiian steel guitar music into the next generation.  We have put out numerous steel guitar compilations, hapa haole compilations and a handful of great musical acts based out of Hawaii.  Our steel guitar series have included most of Hawaii's top tier steel guitar musicians and we have also had the honor of winning Hawaii Music Awards (the people’s choice) for several of our Hawaiian Steel Guitar series (Hawaiian Steel 3 (2005), Hawaiian Steel 5 (2009) and Hawaiian Steel 6 (2010).  Other CDs in our catalog have been finalists in for Na Hoku Hanohano Awards (Hula Island Style Vol. 1 (2009), Hula Island Style Vol. 2 (2012),  Hawaiian Steel Vol 3-Byrd’s Nest (2005), Hawaiian Steel Vol. 4 – Artistry of Greg Sardinha (2007), Hawaiian Steel Vol. 6 (2010), Pahinui Hawaiian Band (2013) and our newest addition to our catalog, “Stainless”- Greg Sardinha is a finalist for 2014.  

Many of our albums have been available for purchase online as MP3's, bought in one of Hawaii's numerous record shops, purchased in person at one of Greg Sardinha's live performances or directly online from Keala Records.
